The author has been collecting firearms for over 50 years and has participated in restoration, authentication, value of antique firearms for fellow enthusiasts , historians, authors and law enforcement.

Nobody knows everything, but we use our knowledge and contacts and consult with other experienced authorities in relation to authenticating genuine antique firearms, as opposed to copies, genuine hand engraving,  and value.
